About Me

 

I am an out-of-state Honors College student at Georgia State University. My journey began in August 2023 when I took a geographic and intellectual leap from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the vibrant energy in Atlanta. Pursuing a major in English (Rhetoric and Composition) with a minor in Marketing, my goal is to transform my lifelong passion for literature into a meaningful career in book publishing

The "middle" of my journey has been defined by the trials of balancing a 4.0 GPA with the rigorous demands of a part-time job at ALDI. These roles served as my essential training grounds, where I forged resilience, active listening, and time management skills. A pivotal transformation occurred during my Editorial Project Manager Internship at YourBookTeam, where I got experience in managing editorial workflows and collaborating with authors and designers. My path included volunteering alongside other honor students at The King Center Beloved Community International Expo. Where I was able to expand my cultural perspective and event-planning experience, better preparing me to work hard in the professional world. 

 

Now a senior whose academic excellence has been recognized by the Fanon Book Scholarship and the Eliz and Mich Kenny Scholarship, I view my journey in retrospect as a period of intense intellectual development. Nearing my 2026 graduation, I stand ready to enter the publishing industry, no longer just a student but a confident professional equipped with the organizational discipline to bring stories to life.
